Central Java And Jogjakarta Road Trip By Scottish | Anna Transportation

Our plane landing at Soekarno-Hatta International air port in Jakarta then We were riding a train to Pekalongan. It takes 5 hours journey. In Pekalongan We're visited Civil State Administration, Sugar Factory Sragi (Ex-Dutch Company), Pekalongan Mangrove Park, Batik Museum and IBC Wiradesa. We bought some batik cloth for souvenirs. We're sleep at Santika Hotel where located at front of Pekalongan Train Station.
On Thursday morning, April 6th 2017 We had check out from the hotel and starting Central Java over land. We're riding a car rental from Pekalongan. We're arrived at The Sam Poo Kong Shrine, The Largest shrine Confucian in Central Java Province around 12 pm at noon. At there has 2 different entrance ticket, for domestic 6000 IDR and international 30000 IDR. With that price we've just can sightseeing around the shrine, if we would like going in the shrine must buy an additional ticket. We had spending around 1 hour at here then starting our journey again on 1 pm. Our car through the center city of Semarang then entering The Toll 
Road to by pass and will faster to the next destination "Eling Bening Restaurant" located in Ambarawa. At the restaurant we had a lunch. The restaurant sited at the top of hill so we can see the Rawa Pening lake and mountains surrounded us. The price of meals it's moderate and they offer many kind dishes. We're spend times around 3 hours at here. At around 4 pm, we were starting again our journey to Jogjakarta via Magelang.  

Finally We arrive at The home stay which booked before via booking.com. The name of home stay is "Pamularsih home stay" located on Bugisan street. We slept at there 3 nights.




Friday, April 7th 2017 after We have a breakfast around 8 am then going to The Borobudur temple in Magelang Central Java province. It takes more 1 hours by car because on the morning the traffic more crowded. Around  9.30 am arrived at the Borobudur then we get to go buy entrance ticket. As usual has 2 difference tariff, for domestic tourist 30000 IDR and international 260000 IDR. At here We can not pay the entrance ticket with Credit or Debit Card. There was only one ATM from J-Trust (Japanese bank). Unfortunately we can not take draw cash money from this machine although the machine has debited  so We had to making report what happened to us.
Then We all climb up Borobudur temple. We taken photos at there.

From Borobudur We're starting again our journey to Kaliurang. We arrived at the National Mount of Merapi Park around 2 pm. On mid our journey to the Kaliurang We had a lunch at Nasi Padang. We ate rendang (beef meat), spinach, fried chicken and so on. Actually when we arrived in Kaliurang, had got 2 option seeing the closest  Mount of Merapi's carter. One option by hiring 4 WD Jeep, the price from 350.000 IDR to 450.000 IDR  maximize 4-6 passenger depends on the type of Jeep. The Jeep will through rough also bumpy road. The second option climbing Plawangan Hill through forest and monkey sanctuary.







    
The height of Plawangan hill around 900-1000 mdpl. It will need around 1 hours walking through forest to the peak. Unfortunately  this area will close at 4 pm, so we decide did not continuous. We had stopping at the flat area then tokes some photo. Around 3 pm we had going down while enjoying the scenery and taking deep breath. The air contain many useful minerals for our body. At around 4 pm arrived at the main gate. Then We were starting went back to the home stay.
On Friday morning, April 7th 2017 the next destination was Keraton Jogjakarta or Jogjakarta Palace. It only take 30 minute go to The palace.

After We've explored Jogjakarta Palace, walking backward and then taking a rest for while The exact we've taking a rest is the veranda of Palace's Carriage Museum. At there we had got drinks Es Dawet and talking to 2 kids who still learning English.
